History

Fragapane® was founded in 1940 by Salvador Fragapane in the Province of Mendoza, Argentina. Salvador, the son of Italian immigrants, inherited the spirit and passion for work from their predecessors, and with visionary courage, he was one of the pioneers of fruit growing and viticulture in Mendoza.
Under Salvador’s direction the company started with the packing and marketing of fresh fruit, followed afterwards by the vine growing, olive groves and fruit plantations intended for fruit drying. At this stage the foundations were laid for the growth of Fragapane®, turning it into one of the most important and traditional agribusiness companies of Mendoza.

With the same vision and philosophy his son, Francisco Fragapane, took over the leadership of the company in 1965 building the first industrial facilities.

A long-term growth of its infrastructure was planned in order to add value to their own raw materials and work was carried out in the development of further products to reach new markets. The company began making wine, preserving olives and drying plums in its own facilities, with a sustained investment plan and improvements over the time.

Currently, Fragapane® has integrated its operations as a producer, processor and exporter of preserved olives and prunes; ensuring through traceability and quality in all processes Premium products for the most demanding markets of Argentina and the world.
